INDOOR Cookin’ the Books

If you love to cook and enjoy talking about food and sharing recipes then this group is for you. Pick up a copy of the cookbook (or find a recipe from the book online), register on the library events calendar and record your recipe. Bring your dish to the meeting and enjoy sampling everyone’s dishes! Recipes already chosen: Sheet Pan Sausage with Peppers and Onions, Chicken Tagine, and Grilled Corn Salad.

VIRTUAL Understanding Your Cat

Author Rachel S. Geller will deliver a presentation based on her book, Saving the World, One Cat at a Time: What I Know About Cats – And Why You Should Know It, in this Zoom webinar. Dubbed the “Cat Whisperer,” Dr. Rachel Geller will explain common cat behavior problems encountered by owners, followed by a Q&A, so bring your questions for this expert’s advice.

VIRTUAL Poetry Circle

Do you enjoy writing poetry? Want input on your work? If so, this group is for you. When registering, please provide your email address so you can receive an agenda and any prep materials in advance. Led by local writing enthusiast, Barbara Alevras. Each month, we’ll read one book together as a group, have some fun discussions and then families will have a chance to break off into groups and read a book or two together. INDOOR Tiny Art Show! Canvas Pick Up
Monday – Saturday, September 12 – 17, All Day
We want you to make a tiny piece of art for our Tiny Art Show! Open to all ages and all mediums! Pick up a tiny canvas from the library (while supplies last) or create a tiny sculpture, a tiny felted creation, tiny knitting, or even tiny ceramics! Be creative! Specifications: All artwork must be either on a 3×3 inch canvas or, if 3D, must be 3x3x3 inches or smaller in all dimensions. The first 150 registrants will receive a mini canvas, should they want one, and anyone after that wanting to participate can purchase their own canvas, use a 3X3 inch piece of paper, or create with a different medium as long as their final piece is 3x3x3 inches or smaller. Important Dates: Participants will have until September 17th to pick up their canvas and until September 24th to drop their artwork off. We will have a Tiny Art Show Reception on Wednesday, October 5th at 6:30pm and hope you all can attend! All Ages

INDOOR The Ukulele Show

Look, Listen, Learn & Laugh at The Ukulele Show, an educational concert for all ages presented by Dave Maloof. Dave will explain and demonstrate ukulele history, types and tunings and sizes, and playing techniques. He’ll also present mini-concerts – singing and playing various ukuleles to music including Beatles, Rock ’n’ Roll, Tin Pan Alley, World, Country, Kids, Comedy –and maybe even a little Classical.
