LAWRENCE, MA — Gloria Smith, 95, of Methuen, passed away on August 15, 2022, at Lawrence General Hospital. She was born in Lawrence, on May 15, 1927, and was the daughter of the late Emilio Coiro and the late Theresa (LaTorre) Coiro.
Educated in Lawrence, Gloria attended St. Mary Grammar School and graduated from Lawrence High School, class of 1945. She moved to Methuen in 1960.
Gloria was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed spending time with her family. Before she retired, she worked at Avco Credit Union in Wilmington, MA, as a loan clerk for 20 years. Her family was the most important part of her life. There was nothing she would not do for her family. She was funny and could always make you laugh with her witty humor.
She is predeceased by her husband, Henry Smith; her daughter, Diane Corriveau; and brother-in-law, Michael Pandelena.
Gloria is survived by her daughter, Deborah Smith of Methuen, MA; sister, Rita Pandelena of Salem, NH; granddaughters, Courtney Barbera and her husband Jason of Salem, NH, and Nicole Corriveau of Lynn, MA; grandson, Daniel Corriveau of Manchester NH; three great-grandchildren, Brady Barbera, Ky Lane, and David Batchelder; nieces, Donna Frost and her husband Al of Stratham, NH, and Paula Tucker and her husband Wade of Sarasota, FL; and nephew, Paul Pandelena and his wife Abigail of Atkinson, NH.
The family would like to give a big thank you to the Mary Immaculate Nursing home for the great care they gave Gloria for her time there. The staff and all the nurses and CNAs who took care of her were so loving and caring.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, August 21, 2022, from 3 to 6 p.m., at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, August 22, 2022, at 11 a.m., at St. Monica Church, 212 Lawrence St., Methuen. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen.
