WILMINGTON, MA — Sal DeFranco, a Navy Seal veteran and small business owner, is running for State Senate in the Second Essex and Middlesex district, which will now include Wilmington.
DeFranco, a Republican, will be holding a Community Meet & Greet event for Wilmington residents on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at 6pm at Tremezzo Ristoratne (2 Lowell Street).
DeFranco (R-Haverhill) will face off with incumbent Barry Fingeold (D-Andover) in the general election on November 8, 2022. Neither man has a primary challenger.
As a result of re-districting, Wilmington will no longer be represented by State Senator Bruce Tarr (R-Gloucester) after the November election.
