The evening’s headliner is Joe Yannetty. Joe is a comedian and screenwriter from East Boston. He is also a writer and performer on the Classic Rock Morning Show with Tai and Steve Sweeney, on 100.7 WZLX Boston. Joe has appeared on more than forty television shows including the Rosie O’Donnell Show. A seasoned professional, comedian Joe Yannetty draws on his travels, his Italian heritage, family situations and Boston blue-collar upbringing to bring family-oriented comedy to audiences across North America. Yannetty has been a guest on more than three dozen television shows, including “Evening at the Improv,” and “Caroline’s Comedy Hour”. He has headlined America’s best comedy clubs as well as those in Canada and the Bahamas. Joe has also appeared at the “Circus Maximus Showroom” at “Caesar’s Palace” in Las Vegas, “Radio City Music Hall” in New York City, and the “Kennedy Center” in Washington DC where he performed for Former First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton. Joe has also taken to the seas. A favorite on some of the world’s largest, newest and most prestigious cruise ships Joe has traveled the world. Joe Yannetty is one of the funniest comedians to emerge from the world’s greatest comedy scene in Boston. He’s an enormously talented award winning screenwriter, an actor and voice actor, lecturer, and motivational speaker.
Joining Joe in this year’s show will be Jason Merrill and Andrew Della Volpe. Jason is from Lawrence and the youngest of five. As the “funny kid” in school, Jason had always dreamed of making it in comedy. Starting with open mics in 2018, he soon began to feature at comedy clubs around the New England area. You may recognize him from Giggle’s Comedy Club, Lots of Laughs Comedy Lounge, Headliner’s Comedy Club, and Nick’s Comedy Stop. It wasn’t long until he started working with some other comics in the area, such as Lenny Clarke, Steve Sweeney, Tony V, Christine Hurley, and many more! In 2021, Jason has teamed up with Cellos Farmhouse Italian Restaurant to bring you Shooting from The Hip Comedy!
Our third comedian and this year’s opening act is Andrew Della Volpe. Andrew is a standup comedian from Boston. Since graduating from Colby College in 2017, Andrew has performed on a nearly nightly basis throughout New England and Boston. During the pandemic, he began performing small and socially distant driveway comedy shows. Spending the summer performing in backyards all over Massachusetts, New Hampshire and New York, Andrew was able to play more than 50 shows and was featured on CBS Boston and Mix 104.1’s Karson and Kennedy radio show. In addition to working clubs all over the state, like Laugh Boston, The Comedy Studio, The Comedy Scene at Patriot Place, the legendary Nick’s Comedy Stop, and The Woohaha Comedy Club, Andrew has appeared in the Boston Comedy Festival, the Hampton Beach Comedy Festival, and in 2019 opened for Theo Von at The Wilbur Theatre and Chevalier Theatre. Andrew got his start working as an intern at Sacha Baron Cohen’s Four by Two Films.
The show’s Master of Ceremonies is our very own Headliner, Wilmington’s funny man Steve Bjork. Steve has performed at all of the major Boston and New England comedy clubs along with The Improv in Las Vegas, NV; Mohegan Sun in CT, Hilarities in Orlando, FL and Cleveland, OH; TSM Comedy Club in Louisville, KY; Crackers in Indianapolis, IN; Penguins in Cedar Rapids, IA and many others.
In addition to what will be a spectacular show there will be a Silent Auction and Raffle.
So beat those winter blues, kick back and join us for a bunch of laughs all the while supporting the scholarship funds of the Wilmington Sons of Italy and the WHS Band Parents. There are a limited number of tickets still available. For ticket information please call Kevin at (978) 657-7734.
