REMINDER: EPA Asks Wilmington Residents To Participate In Virtual Focus Groups About Olin On March 30 & 31

Below is an announcement from the EPA:

WILMINGTON, MA — Please join EPA for an online focus group session to discuss the Olin Chemical Superfund Site in Wilmington, Massachusetts.

EPA is preparing a Community Involvement Plan (CIP) for the Olin Site and we are seeking your input on how EPA can best communicate and engage with the community.

The CIP will inform how EPA engages with the Wilmington and Woburn communities in the coming months and years. EPA has already started to conduct a series of interviews to collect feedback for the CIP. Starting this month, EPA will host four focus groups. These groups are being conducted to collect comments from a wider audience.

These focus groups are an opportunity to speak directly with EPA in a small group setting about what matters most to you about the future of the Olin Site, tell EPA about the issues you want to hear about, and share with us about the kinds of outreach you are interested in. Your input will help shape the decisions we make about community involvement moving forward.

• Focus Group Session A – Wednesday, March 30, 2022, 9:00am-10:30am
• Focus Group Session B – Thursday, March 31, 2022, 6:00pm-7:30pm
• Focus Group Session C – Monday, April 4, 2022, 3:00pm-4:30pm
• Focus Group Session D – Wednesday, April 6, 2022, 12:00pm-1:30pm

If none of the times above work for you or are no longer available, please select the option “Focus Group Waitlist” and write in your preferred focus group time into the “Do you have any questions…” registration field.
