Minute Madness All-Ages Reading Challenge – Help Us Read Our Way to the Championship!

Brought to you from the same library who won Reading Rivals (us), there is a new reading competition on the horizon! Join us for “Minute Madness” as we try to out-read other MA libraries until the championship round on March 22. Sign up now on the Beanstack app or pick up a paper log from the library so you don’t miss the action.

Poetry Contest Submissions Now Open!

This year’s annual poetry contest theme is Adventure. Where would you like to go on your adventure? Who would you take with you on your adventure?

All ages can submit a poem now through April 23rd. Contestants can submit digitally on our website or bring their poem to the library.

PJ Drive – All March Long!

Cradles to Crayons®, the Boston Bruins, Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, and Wonderfund are coming together to collect new pajamas for local children living in low-income and homeless situations. Bring in your brand-new pajamas, sizes 2T – adult medium to put in the donation box on the first floor.

Cookin’ the Books is back to meeting in-person at the library! If you love to cook and enjoy talking about food and sharing recipes then this group is for you.  Pick up a copy of the cookbook (or find a recipe from the book online), register on the library events calendar and record your recipe. Bring your dish to the meeting and enjoy sampling everyone’s dishes!

Boston author Stephanie Schorow will recount the fire’s history from the foolish decisions that precipitated it to the heroics of firefighters who fought it. Experience the drama of a life-and-death battle in the heart of the city.

Whether you are drafting a short story or a novel, joining our Critique Group is a great opportunity to meet other writers and get constructive feedback in a supportive environment. WML In-Person Programming

Registration is required for most in-person programs. Please check our website on the day of the program to confirm location. Masks are no longer required for vaccinated patrons while visiting the library.

WML Virtual Programming

The library continues to offer a variety of virtual events. Please note that registration is required in order to receive the Zoom link. Go to wilmlibrary.org to register or call 978-658-2967.

The Book Store is staffed by volunteers from the Friends of the Library and all proceeds help support library programs.
