OBITUARY: Donna R. (Sias) Beaudoin, 83

Below is an obituary from Nichols Funeral Home:

WILMINGTON, MA — Donna R. (Sias) Beaudoin, age 83, a long-time resident of Wilmington, passed away following a brief illness on February 23, 2022.

Donna was born on November 24, 1938, in Winchester, MA; she was the cherished daughter of the late John E. and Dorothy (Blair) Sias. Donna was raised in Reading and graduated from Reading High School.

Donna married her husband, Arthur J. Beaudoin, Jr., on May 17, 1962. The couple moved to Wilmington, where they raised their only child, Edward. Donna was a devoted wife and mother; she was often taking care of Eddie and his friends. Donna’s door was always open to the neighborhood, and she loved to see the kids at her house.

Donna returned to the workforce after Eddie started school. She took a position at the Wildwood School in Wilmington as a kindergarten aide; she loved working with the children. Donna often saw her students around town and always greeted them with a warm smile. Donna also worked as a switchboard receptionist for many years, which was a perfect job for Donna. She loved people and made many friends wherever she worked.

At home, Donna loved to be outside; she enjoyed working in her garden and tending to her flowers. She often took walks around the neighborhood which led her all the way around town. Donna had her daily routine of watching “General Hospital” at 2:00 p.m.; there was rarely an episode she ever missed. She also looked forward to her daily trips to Lucci’s Market.

Family was most important to Donna; she took great pride in her role as the “Matriarch”. Donna was always there to lend a hand or offer guidance; she lived for her long “chats”, and she would never hurry an important conversation. Donna looked forward to her “ladies’ lunches” at the 99 Restaurant with her nieces, where they would “catch up” and enjoy each other’s company.

Donna will be remembered for her love of her family, her trips to Gloucester and Rockport and her dogs. Donna was a wonderful friend to the Murray family; she loved and adopted them as her own. Donna was a lovely woman with a gentle soul; she will be missed by her family and her many friends.

Donna was the beloved wife of the late Arthur J. Beaudoin, Jr., devoted mother of Edward Beaudoin of Wilmington, dear sister of the late Judith Guertin, sister-in-law of Joseph Guertin of Vermont, loving aunt of Amy Flockton. Donna was very special to Michael Murray of Wilmington, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
