OBITUARY: Roy M. Paolucci, 57

Below is an obituary form Nichols Funeral Home:

WILMINGTON, MA — Roy M. Paolucci, of Woburn, formerly of Wilmington, passed away on February 10, 2022. He was 57 years old.

Roy was born in Medford, MA on July 28, 1964. He was the dear son of the late Robert and Joan (Storella) Paolucci. Roy was raised in Wilmington and graduated from Shawsheen Valley Technical High school in 1982. He was one of five siblings.

Roy was a talented tile installer for over 35 years. He worked for J.A.J. masons of Medford, Ma. He took great pride in his work. Most of his family and friends can’t look around their homes without seeing some of his impeccable tile work. He spent the last 24 years as a member of the Local 3 Bricklayers Union where he made many lifelong friendships.

Roy enjoyed hobbies such as golfing and fishing. Family would tag along and those moments filled his heart. He would attend his nephew’s baseball games to cheer them on, he was the Papa and Dad who never missed a dance recital. Roy leaves behind fond memories from family clambakes, camping trips and holiday celebrations. Roy made us laugh. He was the humorous uncle whose presence was loved. He wore a smile wherever he went. His laughter will be sorely missed but never forgotten.

Roy had a heart of gold. He had a very loving and forgiving soul. He didn’t judge, he only saw the good. Roy loved. He loved his family, they all had a special place with him. Roy was very generous with his time, you could always count on him to lend a helping hand. Whether you needed him for a home repair, to work on your car, or any other task, Roy wouldn’t hesitate to help however he could.

Roy was the loving father to his daughter, Jacklyn Leon. Nothing quite mattered to Roy more than Jacklyn. They were each other’s best friends. Although Roy had to leave her far too soon, the memories they made together will last a lifetime. Roy’s other greatest joy in life was being a Papa to his two granddaughters, Kaylee and Taylor Leon. They all loved each other dearly and his loss will leave his three girls with an emptiness forever.

Roy is also survived by his son-in-law of many years Frank Leon. His siblings; Robert Paolucci Jr. of Andover, Gary Paolucci and his wife Sandra of North Reading, Steven Paolucci of Wilmington and Lora Scalese of Wilmington. Step children Eric & Shauna Dalrymple. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews whom he adored. And many devoted friends, including friend since childhood Rich Carbone and friend Tony Feola whom the family will always be appreciative of.

All Funeral Services for Roy will be private.

Memorial donations in Roy’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
