Town Manager To Give ‘State Of The Town’ Address, FY23 Budget Presentation At January 24 Selectmen’s Meeting

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Board of Selectmen meets this Monday, January 24, 2022 at 7pm in Room 9 of Town Hall.

There are some noteworthy items on the agenda, including:

  • Town Manager Jeff Hull will present the town’s proposed FY23 budget.
  • Selectmen will consider reappointing Town Manager Hull as Town Manager from October 1, 2021 to September 30, 2024. Selectmen will then consider approving and executing his employment agreement.
  • Planning Director Valerie Gingrich will provide information regarding a proposed 40B development at 100-104 West Street.
  • Hull will announce the town’s new Assistant Town Manager/Human Resources Director.
  • Hull will announce the town’s new Assistant Town Clerk.
  • Hull will announce the town receiving a 2022 Municipal Cybersecurity Awareness Grant.
  • Hull will announce the town receiving $28,790 in insurance credits earned through the MIIA Rewards Program.
  • Gingrich will provide correspondence from the state regarding the town’s recently submitted Open Space & Recreation Plan.
  • DPW Director Mike Woods will provide a written update on PFAS removal at the town’s water treatment plants.
  • Hull will provide a written summary on the Town Hall’s building deficiencies.
  • Selectman Kevin Caira will provide a written summary of the latest Town Hall/School Administration Building Committee meeting.
  • Selectmen will receive an Eagle Scout proposal from Scout Kevin Stevens of Troop 56.
  • Selectmen will consider signing the warrant for the Special Town Meeting.
  • Selectmen will consider signing the license agreement for the Wilmington Farmers Market.
  • Selectmen will consider the request of Town Clerk Beth Lawrenson to appoint election workers.
  • Selectmen will consider the request of Town Clerk Beth Lawrenson to execute a document relative to the discontinuance of the Accu-Vote Optimal Scan Tabulator. Selectmen will then consider Lawrenson’s request to execute a document relative to commencing the use of the ImageCast Precinct Optical Scan Tabulator.

The meeting will be televised live on WCTV and www.wctv.org.
