OBITUARY: Irene Durkee Hazel, 99

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Irene Durkee Hazel was born on August 1, 1922, in Winchester, Massachusetts and spent her early childhood in Wilmington, Massachusetts. She graduated from Mansfield High School in 1940. She married Burton Daniel Hazel in 1941 and spent the war years and several years after as a Navy wife moving around the country and finally settling in Annapolis. She was the Chief Court Reporter for the Circuit Court of Anne Arundel County for 30 years and retired in 1982. She traveled extensively in the States and in Europe. Her hobbies have included knitting, stained glass, and cooking. She will be missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and by many friends. Services will be private.
