Below is an announcement from the Wilmington Recreation Department:
“American Heritage Day”
Wednesday, March 30
8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Enjoy a motorcoach ride to the American Heritage Museum in Hudson, MA. You will be able to explore America’s conflicts, beginning with the Revolutionary War through today. Witness the evolving technology of warfare through a chronologically arranged series of exhibits and dioramas featuring the largest collection of armored vehicles in North America.
Lunch is included at Longfellow’s Wayside Inn in Sudbury – a Massachusetts landmark established in 1716 and America’s oldest operating inn! Afterwards, there is time to stroll the Historic District and visit the fully working Grist Mill, the Martha Mary Chapel, and what is believed to be the one-room schoolhouse mentioned in the poem, “Mary Had a Little Lamb”.
