WILMINGTON, MA — Shawsheen Elementary School Principal Lisa King recently introduced the district’s first ever book vending machine, located at her school.

The machine, which cost approximately $5,000, was funded by the Wilmington Educational Foundation through one of its grant program.

King hopes this “Inchy Bookworm” Vending Machine will help motivate her students to read more.

Students will earn tokens for the machine by being respectful, resilient, and responsible.
