PEABODY, MA — Armand Barrasso, of Peabody, formerly of Wilmington, passed away peacefully after a brave battle with early-onset Alzheimer’s, on Wednesday, December 22nd. He was 62.
Born in Chelsea, he was raised in Medford and was the son of the late Nicholas and Florence (Pelosi) Barrasso. Armand was a graduate of Medford Vocational High School class of 1977. Armand married his wife Lynne, in 1981, and the two began their life together and started their family in Everett. Armand was the epitome of a hardworking man; having a successful career as a master model maker where he became well-known as a maestro and perfectionist in his craft, most recently at Bose Corporation. He was dedicated to providing for his family and prided himself on maintaining a beautiful home where he and Lynne loved working on home improvement projects together, and entertaining family and friends.
Armand was the beloved husband of Lynne (Tornquist) Barrasso, with whom he shared 40 loving years of marriage. He was the devoted father of Amanda DeFeo and her husband Andrew of Cortlandt Manor, NY, and Nicholas Barrasso and his wife Marlana of Andover. The adoring grandfather (Papa) of Theodore N. DeFeo, and the loving uncle of Kerry Sabatino, her husband Felix, and their daughters Gabriella and Giuliana of Reading. The dear brother of Nancy T. Pagels and her husband Robert, and Nicholas R. Barrasso and his wife Susan. He is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
No funeral or memorial service is immediately planned. The family will notify loved ones in the future when a service is scheduled in early Spring 2022. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Armand’s name to the Association of Professional Model Makers, where funds will be utilized for apprentice model makers’ educations. Donations may be made in Armand’s name via Paypal (paypal.me/modelmakers) or via mail: Association of Professional Model Makers (APMM) P.O. Box 165, Hamilton, NY 13346.
