OBITUARY: Evelyn M. Grassia, 77

WILMINGTON, MA — Evelyn M. Grassia (Ramsdell), age 77, a long-time resident of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2021, at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Evelyn was the beloved wife of Ralph Grassia, devoted mother of Evelyn “Dolly” Grassia, Julie Hardimon and her husband Mike and Ralph Grassia, Jr. and his wife Gina all of Wilmington. She was the loving “Gram” of Joey, Michael, Ricky, Jamie, Paige, Tyler, Gary, Izabella, Zack and Zoe as well as her many great-grandchildren. Cherished daughter of the late Almon Hilton and Lucy (Kidder) Ramsdell, dear sister of the late Bob Ramsdell and Charlie Ramsdell. Evelyn was the sister-in-law of Celia Miller and Marge Cornish both of Wilmington and is further survived by her many nieces, nephews and their families.

Evelyn will be fondly remembered as a beautiful lady inside and out. She was a crossing guard for the Town of Wilmington for many years and always went out of her way to help anyone; she was very kind and thoughtful.

Evelyn’s family was her priority, she loved them unconditionally and would do anything to make their lives a little easier. Evelyn adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren they always held a special place in her heart.

Evelyn’s hopeful attitude and strength throughout her battle with cancer was amazing; she will forever be missed by all who knew and loved her.

At Evelyn’s request her Funeral Services will be private.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Nichols Funeral Home.
