Don married Joanne (Veino) Mills on November 23, 1969. They settled in Tyngsboro, where they raised their two children, Kerrie, and Scott. Don loved being a “Dad”; he loved attending school events, especially baseball. Don was a fixture at every baseball game; he was Scott’s biggest fan.
Family was everything to Don; he looked forward to holidays, get-togethers, and spending time with his grandchildren, nephews, and nieces. He was overjoyed to become “Pa” to Jaclyn, Hayley, Corey, and Brayden. Don and his brother Steven shared a special bond; they were best friends and did almost everything together. He similarly adored his sisters Kathy and Karen. Don’s parents, Allen and Sally, meant the world to him and a huge part of his life was void with their passing.

Don and his son would listen to Phil Collins for hours together while playing Tetris. Don and his daughter Kerrie loved to listen to music together on rainy days sitting by an open window. Even later in life, they would share their bond for listening to the rain together over long phone conversations.
Don will be remembered for his witty personality; he was a character who loved to make people laugh. He was a loving Dad, Pa, brother, son, and friend. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
