5 Things To Do In Wilmington On Wednesday, October 6, 2021: Elsa & Olaf Visit Wilmington; Coffee With A Cop; Yardwaste Center Has First Fall Opening

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to do in Wilmington on Wednesday, October 6, 2021:

  • The Wilmington Police Department is celebrating National Coffee With A Cop Day from 8am to 10am at the Dunkin’ at 357 Middlesex Avenue. Officers will be present to meet residents, answer questions, & listen to concerns.
  • The Recycling Center, located off Old Main Street at the Wilmington/Woburn line, will be open for leaf and brush drop-off from 8am to 2pm. Residents will need to purchase a punch-card for $15 in order to enter the yardwaste center. Punch-cards will be available for purchase through the Collector’s Office at Town Hall and will allow up to 5 vehicle trips to the yardwaste center per card. No grass clippings or stumps will be accepted. Commercial vehicles will not be allowed. Make sure to bring photo identification to show you are a Wilmington resident.
  • The Wilmington Senior Center Building Committee meets at 6pm in the Town Hall’s Room 9. Read the agenda HERE. … The Wilmington Conservation Commission meets at 7pm in the Town Hall Auditorium.   • The Wilmington Police Department is conducting Child Safety Seat Inspections and Installations at the Public Safety Building (1 Adelaide Street) between 10a and 2pm.   • The Wilmington United Methodist Church (87 Church Street) is selling pumpkins on its front lawn from noon to 7pm. Credit cards are accepted. All proceeds from this popular program will support the Wilmington United Methodist Church and the many missions it supports.
  • The Wilmington-Tewksbury Chamber of Commerce is participating in a multi-chamber networking event at the Stone Zoo (149 Pond Street, Stoneham) on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. Vendors on hand will include The Mighty Squirrel Brewery, Berman’s Fine Wines & Spirits, Faces Brewing Company, Pizzaria Enzina, and Uncle Joey’s Cannoli, with beverages to purchase and delicious foods to sample.
