POLICE LOG for September 19: Driver Found Asleep At Intersection; Downed Tree Causes Damage On Salem St.; Hit & Run With Tractor Trailer

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Sunday, September 19, 2021:
  • Police came across a vehicle with a driver asleep at the wheel, stopped at light at Middlesex Avenue and Wildwood Street. Police spoke with driver, who said he was unexpectedly called into work and fell asleep. (4:09am)
  • Police notified DPW of a downed tree blocking Salem Street. Fence damage at home. RMLD wires arcing. RMLD notified. (4:26am)
  • Police notified Comcast of long-hanging wires on Main Street. (9:30am)
  • A walk-in party reported a hit and run involving his vehicle and a tractor trailer at Lowell Street and West Street. No injuries noted. (12:05pm)
  • Wilmington Police notified State Police of a turtle in the roadway at 93 North and Route 125. (3:10pm)
