POLICE LOG for August 30: Murder Hornet?; Rabid Racoon?; Kids Playing On Train Tracks

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Monday, August 30, 2021:
  • A rabid racoon attempted to bite a Verizon worker on Cambridge Road in Woburn near Wilmington line. (9:49am)
  • Police assisted with a motor vehicle lockout in the Lucci’s plaza. (12:41pm)
  • A Catherine Avenue caller reported she believes a murder hornet was located on her property. (12:52pm)
  • Police received a report of 3 juveniles playing on the train tracks on Middlesex Avenue. Juveniles were gone upon arrival. (3:04pm)
  • A 2-vehicle crash occurred at Main Street and Williams Avenue. One vehicle towed. (5:11pm)
