WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to know in Wilmington on Sunday, September 5, 2021:
#1) Wilmington Farmers Market On The Swain Green
The Wilmington Farmers Market will be open this Sunday, September 5, 2021 from 10am to 1pm, on the Swain Green, across from the Town Common, at 140 Middlesex Avenue.

- Big Bright World Tie Dye Creations
- Make a Pom Pom Shooters at the Kids Table
- Visit the Merrimack Valley Table Hockey League at the Community Table
- Purchase some lemonade to support a local animal shelter
#2) Get Your Yardwaste Ready For This Week
The Town’s Yardwaste Center, located on Old Main Street, off of Main Street at the Woburn line, will be open twice this month:
- Wednesday, September 8, 2021: 8am to 2pm
- Saturday, September 11, 2021: 9am to 4pm
NO CONTRACTORS OR COMMERCIAL VEHICLES WILL BE ALLOWED.
The drop off of leaves and brush is permitted for Wilmington residents only.
Wilmington residents wishing to use the Recycling Center will need to purchase a punch card for $15 which will be good for 5 visits to the Recycling Center. The punch cards may be purchased Mon – Fri (8:30 AM to 4:30 PM) at the Tax Collector’s Office at the Town Hall at 121 Glen Road. You will be asked to present your punch card and a photo ID at the entrance to the facility.
Please note that due to the odors they create, NO GRASS CLIPPINGS will be allowed at the Recycling Center. Also no stumps will be accepted.

#3) REMINDER: Town Offices Closed For Labor Day
All non-essential town departments will be closed on Monday, September 6, 2021 in observance of Labor Day.
#4) Wilmington Sons Of Italy & WHS Band Parents To Hold Huge Yard Sale On September 18; Still Accepting Anyone Who Wants A Space
WILMINGTON, MA — It is time to clean out your closets, garages, and attics and bring it all to the Annual Yard Sale Fundraiser for the Wilmington Sons of Italy and Wilmington High School Band Parents. The event will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021, from 8am to 3pm, at the Town Common Parking Lot, next to the 4th of July building.
