#1) Friends Of The Wilmington Memorial Library To Hold Gently Used Jewelry Sale On August 21

Looking for a great bargain while supporting a great cause?  Come shop for some of the best finds around on Saturday, August 21, 2021, from 10am to 2pm, at the Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue).

This huge sale has many pieces from famous makers like Sarah Conventry, Lia Sophia, Avon, Alex and Ani, Napier, and more. There are sterling silver and 14K gold pieces as well as precious stones and pearls.  With prices so low, you will be able to get new looks for every day. Most items are priced $1-$5. This is a CASH ONLY event.

All proceeds from this fundraiser benefit the Friends of the Wilmington Memorial Library so they can continue funding many interesting programs the library puts on.

#2) WCTV To Host Television Bootcamp For Prospective Volunteers On August 21

Wilmington Community Television is holding a TV Bootcamp for adult beginners on Saturday, August 21, 2021, from 10am to 1pm, at WCTV Studios (10 Waltham Street).

Learn how to produce your TV show and get involved behind the scenes at WCTV. You’ll be shown on to set up scenery and lighting; microphone technique and audio board basics; how to operate a studio camera; directing a multi-camera show using the station’s production switcher; and more.

This program is free for Wilmington residents. RSVP to Adam@WCTV.org.

Do you enjoy writing poetry? Want input on your work? If so, this group, which meets from 9:15am to 11:30am on Saturday, is for you. When registering, please provide your email address so you can receive an agenda and any prep materials in advance. Led by local writing enthusiast, Barbara Alevras.
