#1) LIBRARY EVENT: Wild World of Reptiles at Swain Green
What is the difference between a lizard and a snake and a crocodile and an alligator? Can turtles really leave their shells like they do in the cartoons? Are snakes really slimy? Learn more about our wonderful scaly friends and meet some reptile special guests. Joy Marzolf of Joys of Nature will share her knowledge of these fascinating reptiles at 6:30pm on the Swain Green. #2) Registration Deadline Is TODAY For Wilmington Little League’s 1st Annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser On August 16
The 2021 Wilmington Little League Baseball & Softball Golf Fundraiser Outing will be held on Monday, August 16, 2021 at the Four Oaks Golf Club in Dracut.
The time for the event is 7:30am with a shotgun start — check-in begins at 6:45am. The format is 4-person team, scramble. The cost is $500 per foursome and it includes green free, cart, a continental breakfast, and lunch. There will also be raffle prizes, closest to the pin contests, and longest drive contests.
Hole sponsorships are also available at $50 per hole.
Registration will close on August 9, 2021 or when we reach capacity. This event will sell out.

#4) WCTV Looking For Volunteers To Launch New TV Show Featuring Wilmington Senior Citizens
Wilmington seniors are needed to launch a new television show. Do you have the gift of gab? Has anyone ever told you “You should be on TV”? Do you think Seniors deserve a voice in Wilmington? WCTV wants you to have a platform in the community.
Join other interested seniors for our first Meet-up at WCTV on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at 2pm. Learn what it takes to make your own television show and have fun doing it.
Not interested in being on camera? There are opportunities to learn how to operate cameras, direct, or even design the set and lighting.
The goal is to create a new television program crewed and hosted entirely by you! Be a part of this CREATIVE and EMPOWERING project! WCTV will provide the coffee!
Membership and Training at WCTV is free to Wilmington residents and can be done at your convenience, in a group, or one-on-one.

#5) Submit A Question For The Selectmen’s Candidate Forum Next Week
Wilmington Community Television has announced it will broadcast a Candidates’ Forum between Selectmen candidates Mark Nelson and Judy O’Connell on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at 6:30pm.
For Town Moderator Robert Peterson, Jr. will serve as the forum’s moderator.
WCTV is seeking questions from the community that they would like the moderator to ask during this forum.
Community members are invited to submit their questions HERE by Sunday, August 15, 2021.
The Special Town Election will take place on Thursday, September 2, 2021, from 8am to 8am, at regular polling locations. Nelson and O’Connell are vying to replace former Selectwoman Jomarie O’Mahony, who recently resigned after moving out of town.
The last day to register to vote for the Special Town Election is Friday August 13, 2021. The Town Clerk’s Office will be open that day from 8:30am until 8pm.
