#1) Wilmington Veterans Department To Hold Car Parade For Local WWII Veteran Turning 100 On July 24, Classic Cars Wanted

Joe McCarthy, a Wilmington resident and WWII veteran, is turning 100 this Saturday, July 24, 2021. The Wilmington Department of Veterans Services is organizing a car parade to drive by his home and wish him well. The parade will assemble at the Fourth of July Building parking lot and step off promptly at 10am. All are welcome to join. Classic cars are especially welcome.

#2) Yard Sales In Wilmington

Below is information on two yard sales happening in Wilmington this weekend:

When: Saturday, July 24, 2021, 9am to 3pm

#3) Book Store Next Door Is Open

The Friends of the Wilmington Memorial Library’s Book Store Next Door (183 Middlesex Avenue) is open from 10am to 4pm.

#4) LIBRARY EVENT: Outdoor Baby Paint & Play

Infants and their caregivers can come and enjoy painting with all kinds of tools and colors, making this a sensory experience they won’t forget! This event will take place at 10am on the library’s lawn. Ages 0-2. If inclement weather is forecast, the program may be postponed. #5) LIBRARY EVENT: Outdoor Kid’s Create: Paint Palooza 

Families of all ages will have a blast making a mess with paint at 3pm on the library’s lawn! Use a variety of tools to get your paint on the canvases, experimenting with textures and colors! Ages 3+. Masks are required for all attendees ages 5 and up and strongly encouraged for children ages 2-5. If inclement weather is forecast, this program may be postponed.
