#1) LIBRARY EVENT: Read To Thor

#2) SURVEY: Wilmington Economic Development Committee Seeks Feedback On Route 38/129 Business Corridor
The Economic Development Committee is seeking additional feedback from Wilmington businesses and residents. Please take a moment to tell us what you like/dislike about Wilmington’s Route 38/129 business corridor. What challenges exist for small businesses? What changes or improvements would make you more likely to visit businesses in that area?
The Town of Wilmington is participating in the state’s Local Rapid Recovery Plan Program and has been working with a Plan Facilitator to assess the current state of the physical environment on businesses and customers along Route 38 and Route 129 (from Silver Lake to Lucci’s Plaza). The effort will culminate in plans that summarize the diagnostic findings and offer clear, tactical project recommendations.

Comments, questions and suggestions are sorted into six categories:
- Public Realm: streets, sidewalks, public parks and other public spaces
- Private Realm: commercial buildings, storefronts, parking lots and open space on private property
- Revenue & Sales: strategies for increasing revenue of existing businesses; issues impacting business growth and customer traffic
- Administrative Capacity: government regulations, staffing and oversight; organizational management of the district or business association
- Culture & Arts: public art, arts and cultural institutions, businesses, events, educational facilities, etc.
- Tenants Mix: attraction and retention of businesses and particular business types

#3) Town Beach Is Open
Town Beach at Silver Lake is open for the 2021 beach season from Saturday, June 12, 2021 through Sunday, August 8, 2021, from 10am to 6pm daily.
Wilmington residents with proof of residency may use the beach at no charge. Acceptable forms of ID include a current Mass. Driver’s License with a Wilmington address, an RMV issued Mass. ID with a Wilmington addressor; and a Wilmington Public Schools ID.
Non-residents can purchase day passes at the Beach for $10 per person (ages 3 and up).

#4) Wilmington Town Museum Is Open For Free Tours
The Wilmington Town Museum, located at 430 Salem Street, has begun its Summer 2021 season.
During the summer, the Museum will be open on Thursdays and Fridays from 10am to 2pm.
Summer Open House dates will be Sunday, July 11, 2021, from 2pm to 4pm, and Sunday, August 1, 2021, from 2pm to 4pm. Appointments are welcome.

The Wilmington Town Museum at the Col. Joshua Harnden Tavern is owned by the town of Wilmington and is dedicated to preserving and presenting the history of the town of Wilmington.
#5) WIN $500! Wilmington Kiwanis Club To Hold 6th Annual ‘Grand Raffle’
The Wilmington Kiwanis Club is holding a ‘Grand Raffle’ to support Kiwanis Charities that directly impact the Wilmington community through service projects, scholarships, and children’s programs.
Tickets cost $20 each. Only 250 will be sold. The five winners will be drawn on September 13, 2021 or once sold out. Prizes are as follows:
- 1st Place: $500
- 2nd Place: $400
- 3rd Place: $300
- 4th Place: $200
- 5th Place: $100
