5 Things To Know In Wilmington On Monday, July 19, 2021

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to know in Wilmington on Monday, July 19, 2021:

#1) LIBRARY EVENT: Flying High Dogs At Swain Green

Be amazed at this high flying Frisbee dog show on the Swain Green at 4pm. Mike Piazza and his 4 Border Collies will entertain you with an educational, interactive and fun show filled with incredible tricks. Ages 3+. Register HERE.

#2) TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Ashwood Ave., Blueberry Ln., Cottonwood Cir., Dogwood Ln., Marion St. & Park St. To Be Repaved

The Wilmington Department of Public Works will grinding and resurfacing the roadways listed below, potentially starting Monday July 19, 2021, weather permitting:

ASHWOOD AVENUE AREA:

  • ASHWOOD AVENUE FROM ANDOVER STREET TO 32 ASHWOOD AVE
  • DOGWOOD LANE
  • BLUEBERRY LANE
  • COTTONWOOD CIRCLE

MARION STREET:

  • CHESTNUT STREET TO 53 MARION STREET

PARK STREET:

  • WOBURN STREET TO NORTH READING TOWN LINE

During operations, no street parking will be allowed.

Partial lane closures and full road closures are anticipated. Local residents will have access to their properties, although there may be short delays. Please refer to social media for updates as the construction date approaches.

Please obey the directives of police details, detour signs, and warning signs during all construction operations, and again, please do not park on the street during construction.

#3) Attend Wilmington School Committee’s Subcommittee Meeting

The Wilmington School Committee’s Superintendent Evaluation Subcommittee meets at 1:30pm in the Roman House Conference Room. Read the agenda HERE.

#4) Watch RMLD Citizens Advisory Board Meeting

The RMLD Citizens Advisory Board meets at 5:45pm via Zoom. Read the agenda HERE.

#5) Town Beach Is Open

Town Beach at Silver Lake is open for the 2021 beach season from Saturday, June 12, 2021 through Sunday, August 8, 2021, from 10am to 6pm daily.

Wilmington residents with proof of residency may use the beach at no charge. Acceptable forms of ID include a current Mass. Driver’s License with a Wilmington address, an RMV issued Mass. ID with a Wilmington addressor; and a Wilmington Public Schools ID.

Non-residents can purchase day passes at the Beach for $10 per person (ages 3 and up).
