WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to know in Wilmington on Wednesday, July 14, 2021:
#1) Wilmington Food Services To Distribute FREE Bagged Breakfasts & Lunches Outside WHS
Wilmington Food Services will continue to put forward best efforts to feed our students during this time and will be preparing bagged breakfasts and lunches out of our kitchen at Wilmington High School beginning Wednesday, June 23, 2021.
These meals will be available for any students, regardless of which school you attend in the District or not in district, and will be prepared in our safe and sanitary environment by Wilmington staff.
You may pick up all breakfast and lunches outside the Events Entrance at WHS (off of Adams Street) every Wednesday from 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. We ask you pull your vehicle up to the curb, pop your car trunk or hatch and we will gladly place the meals inside your vehicle.
This is available to all children 21 and younger, living in Wilmington or in another community.

#2) Wilmington Concerts On The Common Continue With ‘Jimmy & The Jesters’ — POSTPONED
The 2021 Wilmington Concerts on the Common series continues this
Wednesday, July 14, 2021, Thursday, July 15, 2021 (postponed due to rain) from 6:30pm to 8pm, with Jimmy & The Jesters.
Jimmy “Mr. Rock & Roll” Merrick and The Jesters specialize in the oldies and classic country tunes the way you remember them. Come out and see why this group is a fan favorite.
Admission is free of charge. Bring your chairs/blankets and relax to the sweet sounds of summer. The Wilmington Band Parents Association will be selling concessions.
A rain date of Thursday, July 15, 2021.
Additional concerts will take place on July 21 (BackTrack) and July 28 (Perfect Crime).
These popular concerts are organized by the Wilmington Recreation Department.
#3) Wilmington Cub Scouts Pack 56 To Hold Ice Cream Social For Interested Families
The Wilmington Cub Scouts Pack 56 is holding Ice Cream Social for parents and children in Kindergarten through 5th Grade on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, from 7pm to 8pm, at Villanova Hall. Come learn about what Cub Scout Pack 56 offers.

#4) Wilmington Food Pantry Is Open Today For Assistance
The Wilmington Community Fund services a pantry supplying food products on a bimonthly basis to those in need. If you are experiencing food-insecurity and you need help you, are welcome. Shelves are stocked solely by community donations. Food items can be dropped in the marked bins at Market Basket and Lucci’s, as drop-off times on Saturdays are limited due to the Coronavirus.
If you are a Wilmington resident in need of assistance, please stop by the Food Pantry at 142 Chestnut Street (Old South School House) to fill out an application. Proof of residency (photo ID, pay stub or a current bill) is required. An interview for assistance will be conducted on-site.
How to Register for Food Assistance
No appointment is necessary. Interviews for assistance are conducted on site at the food pantry on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month. Vital information about you and your family is necessary to create a profile and is not a guarantee that assistance will be provided.
Please bring the following information with you:
- Proof of Residency – bring a current utility bill(s) or rent/lease agreement
- Driver’s License/Picture ID
- Social Security Numbers for each member of household (to be considered)
- Proof of Income(s) – Paycheck Stub, Child Support, SSI, Food Stamps, TANF,
- Unemployment Check
All information provided is strictly confidential.
In July, the Pantry is open for pick-ups on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, from 6:30pm to 7:30pm, and Wednesday, July 28, 2021, from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. Registrants are welcome to use the pantry one time per month.
#5) Attend Meetings At Wilmington Town Hall
