OBITUARY: Theresa C. Gendron, 92

SALEM, MA — Theresa C. (Poirier) Gendron, 92 of Salem, NH, died peacefully on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.

Born and educated in Lawrence, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Goulet) Poirier.

Theresa retired from Avco in Wilmington, Mass. She was active with the Salem, NH and Methuen, Senior Centers and loved to play bingo and cards, with an occasional trip to the casino. She enjoyed going to lunch or dinner with her family and friends, often celebrating their winnings with a highball. In her earlier years, she enjoyed crocheting, making afghans for each new grandchild. The family that she built with their beloved “Grumpy” was her greatest source of pride and joy.

Theresa was predeceased by her beloved husband Gerald J. Gendron Sr, sisters Doris Jaglowski, and Beatrice Nolet, brothers Oscar, Raymond, Rene and George Poirier.
She is survived by her children: Jerry Jr. and his wife, Susan Gendron of Salem, Dennis and his wife, Beth Gendron of Salem, Michael and his wife Celeste Gendron of Salem, Debbie Gendron McMahon of Lawrence, MA, Tom and his wife Ginger Gendron of Haverhill, and Kevin Gendron of Derry, NH.

Grandchildren: Christopher, Kimberly, Dennis Jr., Matthew, Ryan, Jessica, Stephanie, Nicole, Micaela, Kaleigh, Nicholas, Joshua, Alyison, and Brandon, 13 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours on Monday, July 5th from 4-7 PM at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Rd, Windham, NH. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 6th at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen.
