OBITUARY: Carol J. Mills, 71

WILMINGTON, MA — Carol J. Mills, 71, of Wilmington, died on June 30, 2021 after a brief illness.

Carol was born August 17, 1949 in Melrose. She grew up in Saugus and graduated from Saugus High in 1967. After high school, Carol worked at General Electric in Lynn and later Ametek in Wilmington, retiring in 2009.

In addition to being an avid reader, Carol enjoyed traveling with her mother Helen (Wood) and her loving companion, Jim Kinsella. Her travels included England, Ireland, Mexico, India, Brazil & Canada, as well as many parts of the U.S.

Carol’s greatest joy was being in the company of others. She was blessed to have many close friends whom she enjoyed regularly attending plays, movies and going out to dinner with. Carol was the center of family gatherings. Her stories brought humor and entertainment to every occasion.

Carol is predeceased by her parents Helen and Frederick Mills of Saugus, her brother Thomas Mills and her companion of many years, Jim Kinsella. She leaves behind her brother David and wife Donna of Naples, Florida, sister Laurel Leary and her husband Kevin of Sarasota, Florida, sister-in-law Laurel Mills of Wilmington, seven nieces and nephews and five grand nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave (Rt. 62) Willington, MA, on Sunday June 11th for visitation from 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM, followed by a Funeral Service at 12:30.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Carol’s memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
