#1) Town Hall Looking For Photos Of Around Town
Below is a message from Wilmington Town Hall: Amateur photographer? Just enjoy taking pictures? If you have any pictures of the Wilmington landscape or any of our events, we are always looking for pictures to include in our calendars and other publications. Pictures can be submitted to our manager’s office at firstname.lastname@example.org.
#2) Public Shade Tree Removal Hearing
ublic Shade Trees are protected by Massachusetts General Law Chapter 87. The removal of a healthy public tree requires an advertised public hearing. If a tree is declared by a Tree Warden to be an immediate hazard to the public, a hearing is not required.

Town of Wilmington, Department of Public Works
Pursuant to Massachusetts General Law Chapter 87, Sections 3 and 4, a public hearing will be held on Friday, July 2, 2021 at 9am in Room 9 of Town Hall, 121 Glen Road, Wilmington, MA to consider the removal of the following public trees:
- Double White Oak (Quercus alba) — 22” – 32” — In front of #15 Shady Lane Drive
- Red Oak (Quercus rubra) — 22” — In front of #19 Shady Lane Drive
The trees identified above have been posted for public inspection. Any objections to their removal must be submitted in writing for the Tree Warden, prior to or during the hearing. The mailing address for the Tree Warden is: Department of Public Works Tree Warden, 121 Glen Road, Wilmington, MA 01887. The Warden can be reached via phone at 978-658-4481.
#3) Town Beach Is Open
Town Beach at Silver Lake is open for the 2021 beach season from Saturday, June 12, 2021 through Sunday, August 8, 2021, from 10am to 6pm daily.
Wilmington residents with proof of residency may use the beach at no charge. Acceptable forms of ID include a current Mass. Driver’s License with a Wilmington address, an RMV issued Mass. ID with a Wilmington addressor; and a Wilmington Public Schools ID.
Non-residents can purchase day passes at the Beach for $10 per person (ages 3 and up).

#4) Registration Open For Wilmington-Tewksbury Chamber of Commerce’s Golf Tournament
The Wilmington-Tewksbury Chamber of Commerce is holding its 2020 Golf Classic on Monday, September 20, 2021 at the Tewksbury Country Club (1880 Main Street, Tewksbury).
Registration begins at 7am with a continental breakfast. Golfing starts at 8am.
The Classic is a shotgun style, best-ball scramble tournament. There will be opportunities to win great prizes in on-course contests.
There’s a $125 cost to play — $475 for a foursome. Admission includes 18 holes with cart, continental breakfast, swag bag, networking, fun contests, awards, and post-tournament lunch at the Country Club. To register online, click HERE.

#5) WIN $500! Wilmington Kiwanis Club To Hold 6th Annual ‘Grand Raffle’
The Wilmington Kiwanis Club is holding a ‘Grand Raffle’ to support Kiwanis Charities that directly impact the Wilmington community through service projects, scholarships, and children’s programs.
Tickets cost $20 each. Only 250 will be sold. The five winners will be drawn on September 13, 2021 or once sold out. Prizes are as follows:
- 1st Place: $500
- 2nd Place: $400
- 3rd Place: $300
- 4th Place: $200
- 5th Place: $100
