TEWKSBURY, MA — Are you 50 or over and searching for a job? Did you know that 85% of all jobs are found through networking?
The Massachusetts Library Collaborative 50+ Job Seekers Networking Group supports and assists people in the 50+ demographic who are searching for a new job, changing careers, re-entering the workforce after an employment gap, or looking for a “second act” career.
These FREE virtual meetings are generally held on the first and third Wednesday of the month, from 9:30am to 11:30am, via Zoom. Summer/fall dates include: July 7 (Self-Assessment & Transferrable Skills); July 21 (Creating Your ‘Career Story’ Pitch); August 4 (Developing A Resume); August 18 (Developing A Resume Pt. 2); September 8 (LinkedIn Basics); September 22 (LinkedIn Advanced); October 6 (Marketing/Interviewing Brief); October 20 (Interview Prep); November 3 (Networking 2.0); November 17 (Panel Event with Hiring Employees); December 1 (Marketing Plan); and December 15 (Personal Branding).
Each meeting focuses on a different job skill topic and features different expert guest speakers. Meetings are facilitated by experienced career coach Debbi Hope, MBA, PCIC. Attendance at all sessions is not necessary, but is highly recommended.
Pre-registration is required to participate in the group. Visit www.50plusjobseekers.org, then select “For Attendees,” then select “New Attendee Registration,” and then fill out the simple form. Make sure to select “MA Library Collaborative” as the “Host Site.”
