About Into Action Recovery
Into Action Recovery, Inc. is a non-profit organization founded by a group of concerned parents, family members, and those in recovery from substance use disorder in an effort to help fight the opiate epidemic in our community. In 2018, we proudly opened our first home, Fox Run Sober Living, in Tewksbury. Our mission statement is: “To provide a long term educational, therapeutic, and spiritual 12-Step residential home for adults with opiate and/or alcohol addiction.”
Our community lacks the affordable, long term recovery needed to help sustain sobriety. Studies on recovery support the fact that short term rehab is not effective, & success rates are much higher with structured long-term aftercare. Our home embraces the 12-Step Program utilized by Alcoholics Anonymous. We service adults with opiate and/or alcohol addiction. We are staffed exclusively by those in recovery, who have gone through the journey themselves.
We host a few fundraising events throughout the year including: Annual Golf Tournament, $10,000 drawing, and 5K Run for Recovery. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our fundraising efforts were put on hold over the past 18 months.
One of our short-term goals is to pay off our current mortgage at our Fox Run Sober Living home. Additionally, we are always looking for new members to join our team of volunteers to assist us with our fundraising efforts!
Our long-term goal is to secure enough funds to purchase another property to open a second home for women. We also plan on staying connected to our community by having our clients speak at local schools to help educate our children about the dangers of addiction. Additionally, we will continue to serve as a resource for families in crisis.
We appreciate any donations, large or small, to help our cause in saving our community from this horrific epidemic.
