POLICE LOG for June 20: OUI Arrest; Bad Highway Crash; Driver Issued Summons

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Sunday, June 20, 2021:
  • Police responded to 3-vehicle crash on 93 South, near Exit 38. Airbag deployment and injuries. 2 vehicles facing wrong direction, including 1 in fast lane. State Police handled scene. (3:23am)
  • Brian Michael Smithurst (35, Woburn) was issued a summons for Operating A Motor Vehicle With A Suspended License. (4:07am)
  • Switching equipment on telephone pole is on fire at Wisser Street and Main Street. RMLD notified. (5:53am)
  • A Wedgewood Avenue caller reported someone went through her garbage last night. Red binder was missing and trash can lid was off. (8:31am)
  • A caller reported several vehicles were playing loud music in a Ballardvale Street area. Police advised parties and sent them on their way. (9:16pm)
  • Aidan McLaughlin (27, Woburn) was arrested for OUI (2nd Offense). Animal Control Officer transported dog, who was in vehicle. (8:47pm)
