NASHUA, NH — Beverly M. Jackson went home to God at 5:40am on June 11, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Nashua NH. She was born to Ida Pearl (Davis) and Walter Thomas Dalton on September 1, 1932 in Grygla, Minnesota as their 6th child. She was a wonderful sister to all her siblings and a second mother to her youngest ones. She spent her life as the caretaker and homemaker throughout her life and brought comfort to all those around her.
In her early 20s she moved to the Boston area to help out with caring for some of her nieces and nephews and started working with oscilloscopes at first Raytheon and then Honeywell where she met her loving husband Walter J Jackson, previously deceased. They made their home in Wilmington Massachusetts and that is where she remained through raising her children and after until Walter passed in 2002. Once her children left for college, she was employed from 1984 until 2003 at Market Basket as a cashier.
She then moved to Sandown NH with her Daughter in 2003. Once her eldest granddaughter moved to her own place, she went with her and helped with cooking and caring for her great grandchildren whom she loved so very much. She resided there until her death enjoying every moment of watching her great grandchildren grow into amazing people.
Family was everything to her. She cooked from scratch, could sew anything from swimsuits to prom dresses, was an avid gardener producing fresh vegetables for her table, and until her arthritis prevented her ,she crocheted or knit blankets for all the newborns in the family. Children fed her soul and she was so sweet, loving and special to every child who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Beverly and Rick DeLuca of Sandown NH and Walter and Laura Jackson of Pepperell, MA, Her grandchildren Katlyn DeLuca and Nicholas Burns, with whom she resided, their children Alexis and Nathaniel in Hudson NH, Emily(DeLuca) and Bryan Francis, and their child Carter of Middleton NH and Vincent DeLuca and Destiny Stanley and their children Vincent Jr. and Cornelius of Derry NH. She is also survived by her sister Shirley Walsh of Everett Ma, her brother Donald Dalton of West Roxbury, MA and her Brother-in-Law John Melanson of Kingston NH, her sister-in-law Ella Jackson of Manchester NH, her sister-in-law Kathleen McCloskey of Malden Ma, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A private service will be held at the family’s convenience.
