WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to know in Wilmington on Saturday, May 15, 2021:

#1) Wilmington Sons Of Italy & Boston Children’s Hospital To Hold Blood Drive

The Wilmington Sons of Italy’s next Blood Drive with the Boston Children’s Hospital Bloodmobile will be held on Saturday,  May 15, 2021, from 9am to 3pm, in the Parking Lot of the 4th of July Building (142 Middlesex Avenue).  A maximum of 26 donors will be allowed. Donors must schedule an appointment in advance.

#2) Watch Wilmington Middle School Play On WCTV

The Wilmington Middle School Drama Club presents “Help Desk” tonight at 7pm. Watch on WCTV — Verizon 37 and Comcast 9. When you call the help desk you’re looking for a solution, but your problems might just be the beginning! Tune in for this hilarious take on problems and solutions. Whether you’re getting shamed about your inability to log in, giving your credit card info. to a scammer or having a serious conversation with a clown, watch as customer service calls spiral into absurdity in this lighthearted and delightful comedy/drama production.

#3) Yard Sale On Brentwood Avenue

A yard sale starts at 9am at 22 Brentwood Avenue in Wilmington. Including a variety of items like clothing, jewelry, sneakers, purses, house hold items, mini clothing dressers, accessories, weed growing black box, and much more. Anything left over will probably be donated/tossed.

#4) Book Store Next Door Is Open

The Friends of the Wilmington Memorial Library’s Book Store Next Door (183 Middlesex Avenue) is open from 10am to 1pm. In order to comply with social distancing protocols, the number of shoppers and shopping time will be limited. Donations are limited at this time to one bag per person.

#5) Mrs. Hiller’s Cemetery Stroll

Join Town Curator Terry McDermott for a Wildwood Cemetery stroll and learn about Wilmington’s one and only Mrs. Hiller and the cemetery march she organized in 1890. Plan to meet in the back of the library a little before 10am. Masks required. Register HERE.
