POLICE LOG for May 7: Man Tries To Spell Inappropriate Words On Businesses’ Sign Board; Stop Signs Knocked Down; Street Sign Missing

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Friday, May 7, 2021:
  • Police notified DPW of excessive trash in the High School’s student parking lot. (2:06am)
  • Police notified DPW of trash under the pavilion at Yentile Park. (2:30am)
  • Police notified DPW that stop signs at Glen Road & Main Street, and Lake Street & South Street, have been struck and are laying on the ground. (7:29am)
  • Police notified DPW that Winchell Road street sign is missing. (8:00am)
  • A caller at The Golden Nozzle Car Wash reported a young white male (teens/early 20’s) was rearranging the words on the sign board in an attempt to spell inappropriate words. Man was gone by the time police arrived. (11:00am)
  • Police spoke with media on high school property and was told to move off school property. (12:20pm)
  • A walk-in party reported his vehicle was keyed at work. (12:30pm)
