POLICE LOG for May 4: Vehicle Fire; Baby Bird Rescued; License Plates Stolen

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Tuesday, May 4, 2021:
  • Police received report of two vehicles missing license plates from Ballardvale Street lot. Both entered into NCIC (National Crime Information Center) database. (12:20pm)
  • Vehicle struck a mailbox and retaining wall on Shawsheen Avenue. Unspecified injury. Vehicle towed. DPW notified for debris cleanup. (4:08pm)
  • A Miller Road resident found a baby bird out of its nest and put it in a box for the night. Resident requested Animal Control Officer visit in the morning. (8:38pm)
  • Fire, Police and State Police responded to a vehicle fire on 93 North, prior to Exit 41. No injuries noted. (11:07pm)
