Below is an announcement from Wilmington Community Television’s “Book Stew:”
WILMINGTON, MA — Lovers of historical fiction will want to hear all about Jane Healey’s new novel The Secret Stealers, which features a suspenseful mingling of real people (“Wild Bill” Donovan, Julia Child, and a very famous actor who wanted to do his part in WW II on horseback) and invented characters in the service of the OSS and the French Resistance. Healey’s previous novels, The Saturday Evening Girls Club and The Beantown Girls, celebrated Boston’s lost West End settlement house movement and the “Doughnut Dollies” on the front lines in WWII.
Please check out the new Book Stew episode on WCTV on Tuesdays at 1pm, Wednesdays at 8pm, Fridays at 7pm, and Saturdays at noon.
Eileen MacDougall is the host of the 85+ episodes of Book Stew, a 30 minute video and podcast devoted to writing in all forms, featuring authors, playwrights, voice artists, poets, and journalists.
