MONT VERNON, NH — JoAnn M. Finnerty, 76, resident of Mont Vernon, NH, died at her home on April 15, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on January 18, 1945 in Malden, MA, a daughter of Joseph and Ann (Connolly) McGeoghegan.
JoAnn was raised and educated in Malden, MA. She made her home in Milford and Mont Vernon, for the past 22 years and formerly lived in Wilmington, MA for 27 years.
She had been employed as a school bus driver for the Milford, NH School District for many years and also for the Wilmington, MA School District.
JoAnn enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading on the beach and decorating her home. Together with her husband, they spent winters in Barefoot Bay, FL and enjoyed going on cruises to Alaska, Hawaii and the Caribbean.
She was predeceased by her two sisters, Kathleen Buckley and Nancy Kelly.
JoAnn is survived by her loving husband, William J. Finnerty of Mont Vernon, NH; four children and their spouses, William and Cheryl Finnerty of Holly Springs, NC, Steven and Amy Finnerty of Bedford, NH, Kevin and Heather Finnerty of Holly Springs, NC and Kristin Finnerty of Keene, NH; seven grandchildren, Ryan Finnerty, Josh Finnerty, Camden Finnerty, Caitlyn Finnerty, Keegan Finnerty, Evelyn Finnerty and Otis Finnerty; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on May 15, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Mont Vernon, NH. Those attending are asked to adhere to current guidelines by wearing a mask and observing social distancing.
