Dear Town of Wilmington Residents,
I am writing to express my support for David Ragsdale’s re-election to the Wilmington School Committee (WSC).
I have known David and his lovely family since our children were in a local daycare together almost seven years ago. From our first conversation to today David’s approachability, kind demeanor, and listening skills have always made me feel equally respected and heard.
David’s educational foundation in Law and professional experience working for the Princeton Review and the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) provide a unique knowledge base to effectively represent our children’s educational needs. This was evidenced over the past year as we all grappled with the many challenges COVID-19 presented in educating our children. David’s understanding of DESE educational and COVID safety requirements were invaluable in helping provide a path forward.
As an active member of the Wilmington School Committee for the past three years David has demonstrated time and again his effectiveness in understanding community concerns, asking difficult questions, and providing thoughtful solutions. Given the wide-range of strategic initiatives being considered at the district-level, it is critical that we elect someone who has the experience, dedication to doing the work of the committee, and who is committed to representing the needs of all children and families. Please join me in voting for David Ragsdale on April 24 for the betterment of our youth.
