Wilmington & Andover Libraries To Host Bestselling Author Jane Healey In Virtual Event On April 6

Below is a press release from the Memorial Hall Library in Andover:

ANDOVER, MA — On Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 7:00pm, bestselling author Jane Healey will discuss her latest book, The Secret Stealers in this Zoom webinar. Register at https://mhl.org/events.

A female American spy in Nazi-occupied France finds purpose behind enemy lines in a novel of unparalleled danger, love, and daring. Anna Cavanaugh dreamed of a worthy, adventurous life. Instead, the restless young widow and brilliant linguist teaches French at an all-girls school in Washington, D.C. Everything changes when she’s recruited into the Office of Strategic Services by a family friend and legendary WWI hero.

“The Secret Stealers is a flawlessly crafted and engrossing story of the unexpected ways in which war changes who we are. Once again, Healey gifts readers with her trademark characters: everyday women who prove themselves to be extraordinary—women so relatable, so endearing, and so brave that they jump off the page and into our hearts.” —Lynda Cohen Loigman, USA Today bestselling author of The Two-Family House and The Wartime Sisters.

Autographed copies of The Secret Stealers will be available for sale before and during the event from our bookstore partner — Dick Haley Booksellers.

When her daughters were born, Jane Healey left a career in high tech to become a freelance writer. Her passion for historical fiction became her new career when her first novel The Saturday Evening Girls Club was published in 2017. With the release of The Beantown Girls in 2019, she continued to fulfill her dream of writing lesser known stories of women in history.

A collection of North of Boston libraries have joined forces to host a series of virtual discussions with bestselling authors this fall and winter. This event is co-sponsored by libraries in Andover, Billerica, Chelmsford, North Reading, Tewksbury, and Wilmington, among others.
