5 Things To Know In Wilmington On Tuesday, March 30, 2021

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to know in Wilmington on Tuesday, March 30, 2021:

#1) LIBRARY EVENT: Virtual Preschool Storytime 

This 10am storytime for preschoolers includes books, rhymes, and music. Ages 3-5. Zoom Meeting Room invitations will be emailed to registered attendees at least one hour before the event. Register HERE.

#2) LIBRARY EVENT: Among Us Teen Game Night

Join your crewmates in a multiplayer game of teamwork and betrayal over Zoom at 5pm! Download the free Among Us app, and play in a private match hosted by the WML. Grades 6-12. This is an online event via Zoom. An invite will be sent two hours prior to the start of the program to the email given at registration. Please be sure to check your clutter/junk/spam boxes if the invite does not appear in your inbox, and do not use a school email address (@wpsk12.com) to register. Register HERE.

#3) Watch Wilmington Board of Assessors Meeting

The Wilmington Board of Assessors meets at 10am via Zoom. Read the agenda HERE.

#4) LIBRARY EVENT: SAT & ACT Strategy Session

Are you wondering if you should take the SAT or the ACT? What are the differences? Do colleges have a preference? Can these tests help you get a scholarship? What about test optional schools? Tune in to the The Princeton Review’s live virtual session at 7pm to get the answer to all of these questions and more! Teens in Grades 9-11. Register HERE.

#5) Town Asks Route 38 & Route 129 Business Owners To Take Online Surveys

ATTENTION BUSINESS OWNERS/MANAGERS of business establishments located on Rt 38 Main Street and Rt 129 Lowell Street. The Town of Wilmington, through the Wilmington Economic Development Committee, is participating in the Massachusetts Local Rapid Recovery Program to help communities develop projects and plans for targeted downtown districts.

An initial component of this program includes a 5-minute survey of owners or managers of businesses located in the Main Street Rt 38 and Lowell Street Rt 129 Business Corridors, including for-profits and non-profits, and even if your business is temporarily closed.
Your input will be extremely valuable in developing a plan to identify projects to help support local businesses and seek out additional funding for implementation.

This 5-minute survey will ask about your satisfaction with your business location, impacts of COVID on your business and your opinion regarding potential strategies to support your business and improve the commercial district.
