WILMINGTON, MA — Virginia Lacoss, of Abington, passed peacefully on March 13, 2021 at St. Joseph Manor Nursing Home in Brockton at the age of 96.
Virginia was born in Wilmington on August 17, 1924, daughter of Lester and Georgena Swain, sister of Ellis Swain and Mary Lou Gloddy. She was the loving wife of Kenneth F. Lacoss for 59 years until his passing in 2005.
Virginia is survived by three sons, Kenneth Jr. of Savannah, GA, Ronald P. of Silver Spring, MD and Todd D. of Abington MA. Loving Grandmother of Kim Miyahira of Boiling Springs, SC, Elaine LaCoss of Kettering, UK, Tess Lacoss and Emily Pate both of Woburn, MA. Great-grandmother of Jericho, Brandon and Zak Miyahira of Boiling Springs, SC and Elsie Pate of Woburn, MA.
Virginia graduated from Wilmington High School and lived in Everett and Woburn before moving to Abington. She worked many years for State Street Bank in Boston. She loved playing cards, bingo, gardening, visiting friends, and Panera soup!
Services will be at a later date due to Covid 19.
