#1) Wilmington Food Services Providing Free Meals To Children — Curbside Pick-Up In High School Parking Lot
Wilmington Public Schools Food Services will be distributing free meals (7 breakfasts & 7 lunches) for children 2-21 from 9:30am to 12:30pm in the High School Parking Lot.
#2) Watch Wilmington Conservation Commission Meeting
The Wilmington Conservation Commission meets at 7pm via Zoom. Read the agenda HERE. Watch the meeting live on WCTV and wctv.org.
#3) Library Event: Time For Twos
The Wilmington Memorial Library is holding a virtual Time For Twos at 10am. This storytime for two year olds includes books, rhymes, music and movement. Zoom Meeting Room invitations will be emailed to registered attendees at least one hour before the event. Register HERE.
#4) Use The Wilmington Library’s Free Digital Resources
Take advantage of the following digital resources while hunkering down and staying safe during the winter months. If you do not have a library card, you can get one remotely by going to www.wilmlibrary.org.
Overdrive (aka “Libby” app on your smartphone): Find ebooks, audiobooks, magazines and movies.
Hoopla: Find ebooks, TV shows, audiobooks and comics. Simultaneous use means titles always available.
Kanopy: Stream classic movies, Indie hits, documentaries and more.
Freegal: Download and keep up to five songs per week. Stream up to three hours per day.
Tumble Book Library: Animated picture books, read-along chapter books and more for children.
Creative Bug: Find over 1000 video classes on knitting, sewing, cooking and other crafts.
Ancestry Library: Do genealogy research with this database that covers billions of records from census data to directories, and photos to family trees. Access from home is available for a limited period of time.
#5) Donate Your Cans To The Wilmington Cub Scout Pack 136 & Boy Scout Troop 136
Wilmington’s Cub Scout Pack 136 and Boy Scout Troop 136 are currently collecting returnable cans and bottles to help support their Scouting programs.
