STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: Pingree School Student Kyle Collins, Of Wilmington, Headed To DECA State Competition

Below is an announcement from Pingree School via Merit:

SOUTH HAMILTON, MA — Kyle Collins, of Wilmington, is one of ten Pingree School students proceeding to the DECA State Career Development Conference (SCDC) after a strong performance at the virtual MASS DECA District 3 Career Development Conference held at the end of January 2021. More than 800 students from 13 schools competed at the district level, and we wish the students listed below the best of luck as they move on to SCDC beginning this week!

DECA faculty advisor Bob Ogden, Pingree director of information systems, notes, “I am so proud of all of the students who competed this year. We had a record number of participants and we hope to build on that for next year. Congratulations!”

  • Carys Cleveland ’23 and Emily Norton ’23: first place, Entrepreneurship Team Decision Making
  • Nikhil Gorur ’21 and Ashwin Ramanathan ’21: first place, Financial Services Team Decision Making
  • Jackie Elward ’21: second place, Business Finance Series Event
  • Mary Indresano ’21 and Patricia Romero ’21: second place, Business Law and Ethics Team Decision Making
  • Dario Petrillo ’22 and Carter Segal ’21: fourth place, Financial Services Team Decision Making
  • Kyle Collins ’21: fourth place, Marketing Communications Series

Additionally, though he will not be moving forward in the competition, Tejas Prakash ’24 earned tenth place and honorable mention in the Start-Up Business Plan category.
