WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to know in Wilmington on Wednesday, January 20, 2021:
#1) Wilmington Food Services Providing Free Meals To Children — Curbside Pick-Up In High School Parking Lot
Wilmington Public Schools Food Services will be distributing free meals for children 2-21 from 9:30am to 12:30pm in the High School Parking Lot. Produce boxes and bags will be featured.
#2) Watch Wilmington School Committee Meeting
The Wilmington School Committee meets at 7pm via Zoom and will air live on WCTV. An Executive Session precedes the meeting at 6pm. Read the agenda HERE.
#3) Library Event: Time For Twos
The Wilmington Memorial Library is holding Time For Twos via Zoom at 10am. This storytime for two year olds includes books, rhymes, music and movement. Zoom Meeting Room invitations will be emailed to registered attendees at least one hour before the event. Register HERE.
#4) Library Event: Current Affairs Discussion Group
This group, which meets at 7pm, is for all who would like to broaden their knowledge of current national and international affairs. The topic for January is the media and reporting. All are encouraged to read, listen, and watch in order to become more informed about the topic and be ready to discuss with others. Led by facilitator Dan Hall. Register via Zoom link
#5) Wilmington Finance Committee Opening
The Town of Wilmington is accepting applications from interested individuals who would like to volunteer their services as a member of the Finance Committee. Letters of interest, or a completed application for appointment, may be directed to the Finance Committee Appointing Committee, 121 Glen Road, Wilmington, not later than 4:30 p.m. on Friday, January 29, 2021.
