Town Lowers Flags In Honor Of Retired DPW Superintendent Robert Palmer

Below is an announcement from the Town of Wilmington:

WILMINGTON, MA — Please be advised that Town Manager Jeffrey Hull has directed that the United States of America flag and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts flag be lowered to half‐staff from sunrise until sunset at all municipal buildings on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, the day of funeral service, in honor of Retired Superintendent of Public Works Robert P. Palmer. Mr. Palmer was an employee the Town of Wilmington for 45 years. Following retirement he served his community as a member of the Board of Selectmen from 2001 – 2004 and as a member of the Finance Committee from 2005 – 2017. Mr. Palmer served his country in the US Army during the Korean War.
