Below is an announcement from Shawsheen Tech:
BILLERICA, MA — Despite the challenges of remote and hybrid learning, the students and staff at Shawsheen Valley Technical High School recognize that there are still very many reasons for which we should feel grateful. With that spirit in mind, members of the Shawsheen community developed our first-ever “Gratitude” Scavenger Hunt, featuring hand-crafted Pumpkin, Turkey, and Cornucopia signs, from the Carpentry, Design & Visual Communications, and Graphic Arts students and staff. The purpose behind this scavenger hunt is to remind each of us that we can overcome anything with a grateful heart.
With the support of local Town Administrators from Billerica, Burlington, Tewksbury, and Wilmington, we decorated the surrounding area with twenty (20) pumpkins, turkeys, and cornucopias, and on the back of each sign is a “Gratitude” message. We challenge you, our neighbors, friends, and families of Shawsheen Valley Technical High School to partake in our “Gratitude” Scavenger Hunt and locate all the signs, along with their messages. Sign locations can be found HERE. As you travel through Billerica, Burlington, Tewksbury, and Wilmington, searching for the signs, we encourage you to think about people and memories for which you are most grateful.
To enter the contest, simply record all the “Gratitude” messages onto this Microsoft Form/Scavenger Hunt answer sheet, along with a few reasons why you have a grateful heart and submit! The first ten entries (with all 20 messages) win! This Microsoft Form will be available on our school website, beginning Wednesday, November 25th and the hunt will end on Sunday, December 6, 2020. All entries must be submitted via the Microsoft Form before 9:00 PM on Sunday, December 6, 2020. Winners will be contacted on Monday, December 7, 2020.
