WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to know in Wilmington on Wednesday, November 18, 2020:
#1) DEADLINE: Final Day To Order Thanksgiving Pies To Benefit We’re One Wilmington
Wilmington businesses Team Blue/ERA Key Realty Services and Damore Law are holding a Thanksgiving Pie Fundraiser to benefit We’re One Wilmington.
Order a pie from Josie’s Bakery (2 Lowell Street) and both business will donate $5 each to WOW.
Pies available include Apple ($15), Pecan ($18), Pumpkin ($18) and Chocolate Cream ($20).
Pies can be ordered now through November 18, 2020 by texting or calling Margie at 978-810-0523. (Make sure to mention the fundraiser.)
Pick-up will take place at the bakery on Monday, November 23, 2020, from 3pm to 6pm.
#2) Harrow Chicken Pot Pie Drive-Thru Luncheon At Senior Center
Wilmington attorney Michael Monteforte is sponsoring a Drive-Thru Luncheon at the Wilmington Senior Center on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at noon. Harrows Chicken Pot Pie is on the menu. The cost of the event is free to Wilmington seniors, but registration is required. Seniors can register by calling the Center at 978-657-7595 or 978-658-2258.
#3) Town Yardwaste Center Is Open
The Town’s Yardwaste Center, located on Old Main Street, off of Main Street at the Woburn line, will be open today from 8am to 2pm. Wilmington residents only may use the center to drop off leaves and brush. In order to use the facility, residents must purchase a $15 punch card at the Treasurer/Collector’s Office at Town Hall. The card has no expiration date and is good for 5 visits to the facility. Residents will be asked to show the punch card an an ID at the entrance to the facility. No grass clippings may be disposed at the recycling center due to the odors they create. Stumps will not be accepted. No contractors or commercial vehicles are allowed.
