BOSTON, MA — Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center named Janelle Edem, of Wilmington, to its Leadership Board.
Edem is senior vice president and chief of staff of Global Risk Solutions at Liberty Mutual Insurance. In her role, Edem leads GRS’ strategic planning and process excellence work and is responsible for organizing, prioritizing and moving forward critical strategic issues to facilitate efficient decision making for GRS’ executive office.
Insurance Business America recently recognized Edem as a Leader of Change for her work promoting inclusion through action and driving change in the insurance industry. She was honored by the Wharton Club of Boston with the 2015 Joseph Wharton Young Alumni Leader award for extraordinary leadership in the Boston business community and society at large.
Members of the Leadership Board act as goodwill ambassadors, highlighting BIDMC’s mission to their local communities and strengthening the medical center’s ability to advance its mission through philanthropy.
