WILMINGTON REC REMINDERS: Virtual Babysitter Class On Nov. 30, ‘Home Alone’ Class On Dec. 7

Below is an announcement from the Wilmington Recreation Department:

WILMINGTON, MA — Check out two amazing upcoming programs that will be offered on Zoom!

BLAST! Babysitter Lessons and Safety Training – Monday, November 30, 3:30 – 5:30 p.m.

In this workshop kids will learn what to consider before taking a job, how to communicate with parents, children and your parents, house safety, activities for different ages, choking prevention and relief, how and when to call for help; how to call 911 and how to build your own babysitting business. This class is open to kids ages 11 – 13, cost is $60 per participant.

Home Alone – Monday, December 7, 3:30 – 5 p.m.

This class will teach kids telephone and door answering techniques, internet safety, accident and fire protection, how to call 911, First Aid techniques, how to prevent and relieve choking and time management tips. This class is open to kids ages 9 – 11, cost is $50 per participant.

A Zoom link will be sent ahead of each class.
