WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington native Bob Johnson is putting together a collection of short stories about what it was like to grow up in Wilmington. His book — “Wilmington, Our Town” — will be published in 2021.
Johnson wants submissions from the public. If you’d like to submit a story (as short as a few paragraphs or as long as a few pages) recounting a childhood memory from Wilmington, email Johnson at arizonadesertdogg2@yahoo.com. Accompanying photos can also be submitted, but will be printed in black and white.
Story ideas include: teachers and coaches, high school antics, high school sports, Little League, summer jobs, Silver Lake, cool cars, hang out places, restaurants, stores, people who affected us, giving back to the community, and neighborhoods.
